Time to be together with friends - Our residents often tell us that life is more enjoyable with their newly found peace of mind.  We make sure that there is always something to stimulate and interest minds, be it board games or handiwork.   From time to time we have entertainment afternoons at which everyone is welcome, perhaps to reminisce with songs of yesteryear.  For those who enjoy reading, the Library Service regularly calls with a wide selection of large print books. In the summer months, many of our residents enjoy a leisurely stroll around the gardens and we endeavour to arrange a variety of trips out throughout the year.

Time to be on your own - Privacy and individuality is respected.  Residents are encouraged to bring cherished possessions and some favourite items of furniture to make their surroundings personal.  Everyone is free to lead their own lives as far as possible.

Professional care comes to you - Local doctors and district nurses visit as required. Chiropody, dental and ear care is available by appointment (NHS or private).  Our hairdresser calls each week, and our trained and experienced staff are on hand 24 hours a day.

Reassuring and caring - One of the advantages of living in Sambrook House is that we actively encourage residents, their families and friends, to enjoy regular and frequent contact.  Visitors can call in at any time of the day, and many residents go out with family and friends for short trips or longer holidays.  Certain everyday items, such as toiletries, stationery, stamps and confectionery may be bought within the home or obtained for you. In essence we will do everything within our power to make every resident's stay at Sambrook House as enjoyable as possible - this will become your home
