Registered Owner - Neil Robson

My name is Neil Robson, and my wife and I bought Sambrook House Residential Care Home on April 6th 2005, having worked hard to buy a place for the previous  2 years. We first started talking about getting into residential care around 10 years ago but had neither the means nor the opportunity.

I am a graduate engineer who has spent a little over 20 years working in industry, starting my career in design engineering and around 15 years ago entering the world of computing. My last position, based in Portsmouth, saw me responsible for the finance systems across the whole of Europe for a multinational company, which gave me valuable managerial and project management experience, delivering multi million pound systems on time and to budget.

My 'hobbies' are many and varied but have always included 'DIY'. Having 'rebuilt' and redecorated several houses, I see Sambrook House as my biggest 'project' yet

I love people, and being around people (particularly the older generation who have fascinating life stories to tell) and so coming into the care market was a natural career development. Though I have no 'care' qualifications (I leave that to the Gill and her team of professionals), I am very 'caring' and derive great pleasure from seeing the joy and contentment on the faces of our residents.

If you are considering a residential care home then please come and visit us. Many potential clients come and have lunch or tea with us and spend a few hours to take in the atmosphere and talk with other residents and the staff.

Company Director - Sue Robson

Sue is also owner/Director of Sambrook House and brings a wealth of experience to the organisation. She held numerous Director level posts in the NHS, her last on being the Director of Commissioning for Telford and Wrekin PCT. With her degree in Nursing, her role in the organisation is to provide direct support to Gill, our Care Manager, as well as guide the care home developments. She also owns and runs a second organisation that provides Domiciliary Care, details of which can be found in the links pages - Supreme Home Care - which also has a division that deals with live-in housekeepers - Craven Carers

Care Manager - Gillian Burroughs

Gill joined us in April 2007 having held several senior posts mostly in the Domiciliary care sector. She has been a registered Care Manager on three previous occasions. Mother of 2 girls and wife to Steve, Gill began her training as a student nurse, before leaving the profession for a short break. She went back into care a few years later where she has spent the last 11 years, working her way up to management positions before joining Sambrook Care Ltd. She brings both experience and enthusiasm to Sambrook.

(She is also an avid supporter of Telford United football club and can be found most weekends on their terraces!)
